Summary:

100 acre park next to a 110 acre lake built by flooding the old Germantown quarry that served this first town in Fauquier County. The town established here in 1718 has vanished but the park is a favorite for picnics, playgrounds and fishing. The Nature trail offers 3 loops totaling about 1 mile and allows lake views and some bridges to cross. The 1.5 mile BCCT is mostly open, following the shoreline, crossing the dam, and looping around the spillway.
